Services
We primarily serve the Connecticut and New York area and are available for and have done consultation and design work throughout the US.
Design: We help clients choose the optimal building site on their land for their home or pool, tennis court, driveway, outbuildings or just a simple garden. If yours is an existing home, we offer design ideas for changing or improving features based on your lifestyle and the lay of the land.
Horticulture: We walk your property and identify what is there and then advise you on what needs doing, if anything; clear, prune, feed, spray or transplant. We can tell you if it is worth the labor to transplant a specimen or if it would be better to buy new. If needed, we will recommend other reputable specialists.
Landscape (Softscape): Our philosophy is simple; we do not impose 'our style' on your property. We come with no preconceptions; but rather a very good 'eye', extensive formal training and years of experience. We listen to you. What you want, what you need and how you live. We ask questions and make suggestions. The designs we create seek to reflect all these elements while simultaneously integrating your home's architectural style with your landscape.
From a simple entry garden to an entire property we transform your outside space to realize and reveal its character and beauty.
Outside Architecture (Hardscape): Sometimes, before a garden goes in some building changes are needed. We design porches, patios, decks, pergolas, gazebos, arbors, outbuildings, paths, stonewalls and driveways. If the project needs a licensed architect or structural engineer, we work with only reputable professionals. We work on Auto Cad for efficiency and the ability to share files with surveyors, engineers, architects and builders.
Spring Lake Garden Design's landscape crew is experienced and most have been with us for a long time. They take pride in the work we do, are hardworking and reliable. We will install the design ourselves, or if distance is a factor, we will oversee the installation with a local landscaping company to insure it is done to your satisfaction and local building codes. We subcontract with licensed electricians, plumbers, carpenters, pool companies, irrigation companies, and masons. Spring Lake Garden Design, Inc. is fully licensed and insured. All of the subcontractors we work with are too.
PLANT RENTALS & WINTER STORAGE
We custom design potted plants for special occasions; weddings, birthdays, bar and bat mitzvahs, graduations, garden parties, and fund raisers. We do need a minimum of 3 months notice for custom plantings and 1-2 months notice for our potted 'Standards'. Winter storage of your valuable, tender plants includes pick up & delivery, pruning, feeding, & spraying. Repotting also is available. Please contact us for more details.
Our newest service evolved from our own client's requests and their trust in us. Many properties we manage are for people who are not full time residents; here only on weekends only and/or away during the winter. We offer full service management of your home, pool and property. One call to us, we do the rest. It's security and peace of mind for you, the homeowner.
